Financial Literacy.

Financial literacy is often treated as a list of rules or techniques. In reality, most financial outcomes are shaped not by what people know, but by how decisions are made over time.

My work in financial literacy goes beyond tips and tactics to focus on behaviour, judgment, and the simple systems that support better choices in real life. I am particularly interested in why people repeat the same financial mistakes, even when they are well-intentioned and reasonably informed.

Through teaching, speaking, and advisory work, I help individuals and organisations develop clarity around money, understanding not just what to do, but why certain decisions feel difficult, delayed, or avoided altogether. This includes addressing fear, uncertainty, incentives, and the everyday pressures that influence financial behaviour.

Rather than promoting rigid rules or idealised models, my approach emphasises realism. Financial systems must fit people’s lives, constraints, and responsibilities. When systems are clear and aligned, discipline becomes easier, stress is reduced, and progress becomes sustainable.

This perspective informs my work with professionals, communities, and institutions seeking financial literacy that is practical, thoughtful, and grounded in how people actually behave.
